Indian Railways has opened online applications across 4 major recruitment notifications (CEN 06/2026 to CEN 09/2026) for 6,696 posts on the Official RRB Online Portal (rrbapply.gov.in). Across the full 2026 annual calendar, the Railway Recruitment Boards have notified 30,545 posts (and 52,740 total posts including the ongoing CEN 09/2025 Group-D Level-1 recruitment).
1. Exam 1: RRB NTPC Graduate Level (CEN 06/2026)
Total Vacancies: 3,548 Posts — Goods Train Manager (2,750), Senior Clerk cum Typist (371), Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (300), and Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor (127).
Eligibility & Age (as on 01.01.2027): Graduation degree in any stream; 18 to 33 years.
Salary & Selection: Level 5 & Level 6 (₹29,200 to ₹35,400 initial basic pay); CBT-1 → CBT-2 → Document Verification → Medical (No Typing Test in 2026).

2. Exam 2: RRB NTPC Undergraduate / 12th Level (CEN 07/2026)
Total Vacancies: 1,688 Posts — Commercial cum Ticket Clerk (700), Junior Clerk cum Typist (600), Accounts Clerk cum Typist (200), and Trains Clerk (188).
Eligibility & Age (as on 01.01.2027): 12th Pass (10+2) with minimum 50% marks (no 50% limit for SC/ST/PwBD or graduates); 18 to 30 years.
Salary & Selection: Level 2 & Level 3 (₹19,900 to ₹21,700 initial basic pay); CBT-1 → CBT-2 → Document Verification → Medical (No Typing Test in 2026).

3. Exam 3: RRB Station Master – Separate Exam (CEN 08/2026)
Total Vacancies: 1,265 Posts across all 21 RRBs (UR: 542, OBC: 296, SC: 176, EWS: 147, ST: 104).
Eligibility & Age (as on 01.01.2027): Graduation degree in any stream; 20 to 33 years; A-2 Medical Standard (6/9 distant vision without glasses; LASIK surgery not allowed).
Salary & Selection: Level 6 (₹35,400 basic pay; approx. ₹60,000–₹67,000 in-hand); Single Stage CBT (100 Qs, 120 Mins — No CBT-2 & No General Awareness) → CBAT Psycho Test → DV & Medical.

4. Exam 4: RRB Isolated Categories (CEN 09/2026)
Total Vacancies: 195 Posts (Tentative) in specialised roles (such as Lab Assistant Grade-III in Level 2 and Chief Law Assistant / Public Prosecutor / Scientific Supervisor in Level 7).
Eligibility & Age (as on 01.01.2027): 12th with Physics & Chemistry (Level 2) or Law/Post-Graduate Degree with experience (Level 7); 18 to 30/40 years post-wise.
Salary & Selection: Level 2 (₹19,900 basic pay) & Level 7 (₹44,900 basic pay); Single Stage CBT (100 Qs, 90 Mins) → Skill Test (if applicable) → DV & Medical.
